Correct spelling, explaination: the word has its background in a verb commend (to show or express how pleased you are with someone’s effects), and a prefix re- which is used when we are saying about some kind of repetition. It is definitely mistaken to say
reccomend, as there is only one c in the word commend.
Definition of recommend::
1. verb, to tell somebody what to do in a particular situation, to give kind of instruction.
The recruiter highly recommended adding photo into my CV.
2. verb, to strongly suggest using something, for example a product
If you like crime stories, I can recommend you this series – it’s so thrilling!
Incorrect spelling, explaination: as the original verb is a combination of another verb (commend that we use to show our contentment on somebody’s work, project etc.) and a prefix re- it is wrong to add one more c.
